Game Makers of Finland is the protector of PELIVIIKKO 2020
During the Peliviikko (game week) 9.-15.11., hundreds of open events will be held all over Finland. The events are board games, role-playing, console and pc games as well as game culture lectures and workshops.
The events are organized by Pelikasvattajien verkosto´s (Game Educators Network) professionals from libraries, youth activities, schools and educational institutions, organizations, companies and other organizations promoting game education.
Our activities as a protector include organizing a webinar about working in games and sharing five different videos and career stories about the game industry. The awesome people behind the stories are: Minna Eloranta, CEO, Boom Corp, Marko Laine, Game Artist, Veikkaus, Sari Lindberg, Talent Acquisition Lead, Remedy, Barbara Leal, Game Developer, Playsome and Jyri Kuokka, Game Designer, Rovio. The videos were produced together with Kansallinen audiovisuaalinen instituutti.
It is a great honor for us to be the protector of Peliviikko. It is our favourite job to be involved in promoting a positive game culture and to lead the way in future working life. With the videos we produced and the webinar, we want to open up the world of the game industry as told by industry professionals.
